Housing building. Belgium

The strategy of urban growth proposed for Chatelet is based on a cell's repeated insertion. By using different densities,a new relationship between the old quarter and the river is accomplished.
This cell is referenced in the existing old architecture and brings out new qualities:
1 The parking lot is hidden by the section in relation to the street .
2 The kernel of communications is presented like an itinerary, following the street and embracing the façade.
3 The apartments are fully outward-facing and keep a constant relationship (360 degrees) with the city.
